I did a first trail run at Monrovia Canyon park following the fireroad that passes the Saw Pit Dam. Started about 7am on Sunday from Canyon Blvd. Once on the fireroad I did not encounter any human. The golden sunrise shine on the Monrovia peak at 8am was a reward after I slowly reached the second junction of Ben Overtuff trail and the main fireroad. That junction is about 3.5 mi from the gate. I decided to turn back down mixning walking and slow run.
There were some mosquito/fly on the upper part where is near water spring. It was annoying that kept me running down the trail. _________________ I went out to the country so i could examine the simple things in life. Henry Thoreau
