On Saturday, July 12, my son and I mountain-biked up the Josephine Fire Road to Josephine Peak.  The fire road is especially steep at first  (you don't notice this when you hike  it, but on the bike it's a different story!) but if you keep cranking you get into a rhythm.  The flora is always nice along this fire road.

We were attacked by a few bees at the spot below the summit where we left the bikes.  I got stung twice on the arm.  As always, the 4-mile downhill ride goes by in a seeming instant.
