I AGREE Exclamation Hope the heat will not be unbearable in the next few days, I'm really hoping to hike up Cucamonga Peak on Firday morning Very Happy .............. Also....I saw on the news that the air quality in the inland empire will be pretty unhealthy for the next couple days.......does anyone know if this likely includes the mountians right above the inland empire also or just the valleys? Confused

yeah, I had a brilliant idea that i would hike the Fall Creek Trail today.  Direct sun all the way.  I finally just sat under a tree for a while just to cool down for a minute.  Went through 3 liters of water like it was nothing.

Oh, and watch the no parkiing signs at the trailhead.  Voice of experience.   Embarassed

GREAT MINDS THINK ALIKE

i'm beginning to realize that this heat can ruin things. When I did that hike loop thing from islip to vincent and back the road, I roasted on that pavement. severe cramps and my whole body was boiling. My water was HOT. I had to drink it. Made me think of Ellen in the cabin needing water but the opposite scenario. Her core was already too cold but she needed water. Drink more ice water and make matters worse. I'm not sweating, core is hotter than I have ever felt, no shade, thirsty as hell and only have tepid water to drink. so down the hatch with hot water. Rolling Eyes All the while feeling my heels being shaved off by these stupid cookie cutter su per feet.
So last friday I planned to go up the toll road and back for an easy hike to break my heels back in. Right. I started at like 1pm and ROASTED up to Henninger Flats. no shade again. Once I rounded the corner to start up the last 6.3 I just said no way.
Turned around and went back. too hot. way too hot. It's just too hot.
TURN OFF THE HEAT TACO, WHAT ARE YOU TRYING TO DO? KILL US? Twisted Evil
