hi all, i am looking for a 3 person3 season tent that weighs in as close to or under 5lbs as i can get. ....i met a girl and she refuses to sleep in a hammock so i must now buy a tent. ....hopefully light weight and inexpensive cuz ill never use it without her! thanks

I've got a Sierra Designs Omega tent. It's a two person, but is quite roomy and deluxe. Brand new. It's over five pounds with the "factory" stakes, but you could swap out the stakes with some lightweight ones. Swapping out the factory stakes is a pretty common practice for people trying to lighten up.

thanks for the replies. i just bought a brand spankin new shangri la 3 with nest and extra floor for 200 bux. we will see how this goes. i havent slept in a tent in over 4 years. wish me luck
