Trail run on ridge to Pacifico and PCT back downDid a trail run from Mill Creek Summit to Pacifico Mountain. From the trailhead, I took the ridge most of the way (there are intermittent use trails on the ridge but often you lose them) to the summit. Saw a couple of campers at the top, but was unable to locate the register. Took me almost 2 hours to ascend, but coming back down I took the PCT and got down in an hour. The ridge route is steep with lots of loose soil. The PCT made for a fabulous downhill run because it's not too steep and is very well maintained. Great views of the desert either from the ridge or the PCT. Nice developed campsites at the top.
12 miles roundtrip with about 2200 feet of gain. Fabulous trail run on a beautiful day!
