Sunset TrailWell, I couldn't fit in training for a marathon, so I didn't do the LA Marathon this year. I forgot all about having to register in advance for Saturday's Mt. Wilson Trail Race (so I practiced rope ascending and passing knots at Stoney Point that day) so I couldn't do that. Then, Monday morning, I forgot all about the La Canada 5K/10K that starts from Descanso Gardens. I usually do both the Mt. Wilson race and the La Canada race on Memorial Day weekend, but for some reason I was forgetful as to both.
But I had a nice consolation run Monday morning with my son and his fiancee on the Sunset Trail from the Sunset Ridge trailhead (up Chaney Trail Road). I love this trail and the conditions were perfect.
