Also, apparently rebuilt starters from Mexico = shit.

Don't these places (Kragen, etc..) all offer "lifetime" warranties on these things?

Yeah, that they do. Car wouldn't start last night, but started right up when I brought my friends, a bunch of tools, and a jack with stands over. Scared it into starting, I guess!!!

I hope to do some cool solo stuff up north using this car's good mileage. A winter vacation.

LOL. Bet you you have the Webber carb which is excellent and will last longer than your grandchildren do -- assuming any woman will let you touch them!   Very Happy
