Mountain Bike to West Ridge of Brown Mtn.I'm trying to cross-train a little more than usual by mountain biking as opposed to running. Got away from work and loaded up my bike. I started at the Windsor Ave/JPL trailhead into the Arroyo and headed up the upper Brown Mtn. Rd. I climbed the 2.6 miles to the Brown Mtn Rd junction (the big saddle) and then continued up another 2.6 miles to the base of Brown Mtn's west ridge. This is also the junction with the Ken Burton Trail.
When I have more time I'll continue on the Burton Trail to Oakwild Camp and then work my back past the debris damn and back to the trailhead. That would make a nice loop as opposed to the out and back that I did. Conditions were warm this afternoon but not uncomfortable by any means.
