Glissade Practice

Since winter will be here in no time I thought some of you might want to start practicing your glissade techniques.

This is the best version of "Glissage Practice" I've ever seen.

For those of you that want practice at glissading, watch this video and take note that if you try to climb with out the proper gear, crampons, ice axe, helmet - this could be you - and remember that there's no pool of water to catch you at the other end of the "Glissade"  Laughing

The Youtube video was very enjoyable but is is as phony as a $3 bill.  It was a Microsoft marketing stunt.

Alan, thanks for pointing that out, I had a feeling it was fake but I was just trying to make the point that not enough people practice "Self Arrest" and eventually they do take a ride like the guy in the picture - but the whole thing was meant to be funny - only an "Idiot" would attempt to land in a pool that size from that distance, what's even funnier if you did the math on the speed and distance he more than likely would have skipped off the surface or gone straight through the other side of that pool, not enough water to stop someone going at that speed - maybe this is can be one of those ones those challenges that those two guys on "Myth Busters" can take a crack at?
