Flora along the Stone Cyn Trail 2009/05/28http://picasaweb.google.com/mattm...aAlongTheStoneCynTrail2009_05_28#Made my 1018th trip to Mt Lukens on Thursday 5/28, was gonna do battle with the brush for a few hours but the biting flies where out in force.... With little wind and hot temps I opted to knock back the Poison Oak and pull some weeds along the way. The Indian Pink's are more numerous this year than in years past as are the Chinese Houses. The Scarlet Larkspur should be out soon! But they won't be very common as they have been in years past. The flowers I didn't include where Chamise, Buckwheat brush, dodder, and few other common ones, and one or two uncommon / unremarkable ones. Enjoy! Matt |
