Cougarmagic's Most Wanted

Friday, March 20 at 4:10PM.  With no packs, these guys must have been staying at West Fork Camp, and dayhiking.  (Edit - scratch that, they came by in the other direction a minute before this, so they didn't come from the camp) Hell, I'll offer a reward for anyone who identifies them.

Zach

did they damage your equipment?
cougarmagic

Hell yeah they did.  I'm going to see if I can send it in for repairs, but it might be dead.

Did you see the lion video?
Zach

That's a shame. Yes I did see the lion video, that was sooooo cool! Weird how both those cats like to rub against the same tree stump.
Zach

you might have luck if you give those pictures to the rangers or police or something... if its worth the hassle
AlanK

Send the pictures to a couple of newspapers!
hikehigh

They must have been up to no good. I wonder what they were doing back there? Looks like they realized they may be on camera, then smashed it.
TacoDelRio

Seems you need to put some traps around your cameras... Cool

That sucks. Gotta love LA.
cougarmagic

Yeah, I would understand stealing it - but the kind of person who just wrecks something, that sucks.  They don't look like hikers.

but, I'm glad they didn't take it, because then I wouldn't have these movies (and the camera might be fixable).
Elwood

Hate to state the obvious, but there's something odd in the seemingly matching shirts, pants, hats, Gatorade. Really sorry that they damaged your gear. Spectacular footage though!
AW

Guess I shouldnt be surprised at anything these days, but still am in a funk over this...so depressing it makes me feel like for me just not to post. But....Have enjoyed all the footage, and had never seen these local animals before. Hopefully it can be fixed and that translates into more footage(away from these knucklehead clones).
cougarmagic

Thanks everybody.  I think next time I will wear a Haz-Mat suit and put the camera in a big patch of poison oak.

Cool

I'm hoping to see some bear cubs this spring, so stay tuned....

I approve of this.

They were often smeared with human feces to increase the risk of infection.

Maybe its just me, but the impaling alone seems like it would be sufficient....
Zach

what if you killed a cat on accident? Maybe stick with the poison oak idea.
