I am more than pleased to provide some details.  Allow me to introduce "the Littlest Hiker," Smile my daughter Joyce who was born on Friday September 25th at 7:31 in the morning.  At birth, she weighed 8 lbs, 5 oz (3.775 kg) and was 20" (51 cm) long.

Showing great hiking promise, her eyes brightened noticably when I showed her a 1:24,000 topo.   Wink

Maps or no maps, daddy is all smiles.

lol.  I've already got a Snugli chest pack for while she's small and I've got a lager Eddie Bauer* for when she gets bigger.

Sleep?  I'm not familiar with that activity.  Please explain.   Laughing

Prior to the baby's coming, my wife went into "nesting frenzy" to get the baby's room ready.  Now that the baby is here where does she stay?  In our room.  Laughing

She's a fabulously wonderful little sweetie.  With really good lungs.  Laughing
yobtaf

Rumpled

Congrats again!

Looks like she probably lucked out - not sharing a bday with Rumpled!   Laughing

But, I do share one with Guinness on the 24th.

sleep?  why??  it's more fun to just stare at the precious miracle before you.  that is, until she never stops crying one day!   Sad   but this too shall pass.

Hey, congrats Jim! I can't wait until your bundle of joy gets to experience Buckhorn with her daddy just like I did with my Dad way back when (well... not THAT far back)! And other spots, too. Smile

Also, let the record show that I totally would've offered congratulations much earlier in the thread had I been able to figure out what was going on. Smile

The baby pic really gave it away.
