Eric York was a very accomplished and respected biologist. He studied lions in the Santa Monicas for a while, and also down in Anza Borrego. He also was one of the first to collar snow leopards in Pakistan. Some of the footage from that expedition is what you can see in the Planet Earth series. Amazing stuff.
