Hiking past Switzer Falls today I took a little detour up Little Bear. I scrambled up the first 3 falls. It was nice and narrow, running water, now I'm wondering whats above it.

I don't know of anybody who's been up there. I asked the "Canyon Sage" Chris Brennen, he doesn't either.
It's virgin territory AFAIK, and on my long, long list of todo's
PM me....
Cheers

Actually, my brother & I got back in there in the early 70's when we didn't know any better. Got past the falls and went way back in there. Nice stream was flowing. Very lush and human free.
I doubt I would try it today but if you get way back in there beware. They busted a large pot farm in there in 06'. From what I heard the growing operation had been there for a number of years until it got popped.
I'll say this, it is worth the day for the visit if you make it.
